They thought it was a really funny question but we wanted to know what made us stand out so much while we were in public even if we didn't talk. All they did was look at our clothes and faces and said you look Russian or you don't look Russian. There are some staple things that are VERY American. For instance ear warmers and plaid shirts and I don't really know what else. I want to ask them more about what makes us stand out but I won't be able to know until next monday. It isn't always a bad thing to stand out but it can be good as well. We don't want to stand out too much otherwise we could be targeted by thieves.

oh my goodness i laughed so hard when i read this. haha. that would be hilarious. sorry you have to go through that and sorry i laughed. i am pretty sure people go crazy when they see you. i had a cousin and she is about 6'3' and she served a mission in chile....she was an amazonian women to them. and thank you!
