Privet Dear Friends!

The title for this post is a movie that I totally recommend. It is a great, old classic.

Yes, Russia is stealing me and my heart....according to this picture. The expert editor of this picture goes to my wonderful friend Romy Lee Franks, who created this spectacular picture for my going away party on December 11th. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

Well, it was really hard to figure out a blog name and so I asked my family for suggestions, here they are:

Carson's suggestions: "Tales from Mother Russia", "Privet!", "All quiet on the eastern front"

Derek's suggestions: "Charting the Romanov Dynasty", "Memoirs from the Once-Giant of the Cold War", "My Experiences with the Red Commies", "Ode to the West Wind", and "Memoirs from a Modern Ice Age"

Creed's suggestion: "I see cold people"

My Mom suggested: "Russians Papa, Russians!" (a quote from the movie above)

I decided to go a more conservative route even though I definitely liked the references to old Russia and it's colorful history.

I love my family (and will miss them too) and liked their suggestions as some were inside jokes.
